Anonymous Links to Music

Hi, I have a YouTube account with my music videos on it but that of course gives away my identity as the name of the account is my name…Can I give a Dropbox link for one of my videos?
Also, I can’t find the template for music submissions…

Hello there,

Here is the link to music submission template - under Assets section, you can download either .docx or .zip (for .tex), whichever that suits you accordingly.

Re anonymous link & YouTube, I would recommend have an anonymous account for your video, based on my previous experience as music submission author.

Maybe music chairs @NicoleCarroll or @charlesmartin can provide a clarification.

Hope this helps,
Yichen

I was also wondering whether a video containing a visible face of the performer still counts as anonymous? Not that I’m famous or otherwise highly recognizable, but there’s still a chance that a reviewer can recognize a person in the video, which could influence their review in one way or another…

Hi @krzysztof_cybulski

from https://nime2025.org/submissions/#anonymisation:

For music submissions, author names should not appear in the PDF submission, video documentation or account names that are linked from submissions. In the interest of practicality, you don’t have to blur or obscure faces in videos or images.

Hi @charlesmartin,

Is it okay to include an affiliated museum name as part of the Music submission?

The work centres around a collaboration with a museum’s collection but the collection is fairly specific so even anonymising the museum name will still give away what museum collection and projects we’re referring to.

Please anonymise the names of any affiliated bodies. The principle is to make your best efforts to anonymise the location, people, affiliations, etc.
