Two questions:

  1. Is there a correct way to reference supplementary materials uploaded alongside the camera-ready draft? e.g. “Supplementary .mov 1”, “.mp4 file 1”)
  2. Based on reviewer feedback, I would like to change one sentence of my paper’s abstract. The focus of the paper is still the same. Are any / all changes to the abstract frowned upon?

  1. no we don’t have an official way to reference supplementary materials, you can reference it however you wish . If you want a clearer reference to a specific supplementary video file, etc, I recommend you upload it to Zenodo where they will give you a DOI.

  2. Sounds fine to me. Just counts a minor changes at the camera ready stage which is ok. In the camera ready form you can put in your updated abstract. Good for this to be right as the abstract in the camera ready form will appear in the NIME archive.

  1. Can the paper be uploaded to Zenodo after the camera-ready deadline? For now, I’m going to reference supplementary video files on github and upload them alongside the paper.
  2. I just now saw the " You should not set printacmref=true for NIME papers (no matter what the latex template warnings say)." and the requirement for the header image to be submitted alongside the camera-ready draft - is this too late to fix?
  3. What is the deadline for the remote poster presentation and how should it be submitted? No information about new deadlines in the email and the 30th has passed.

Hi.
I have the same problem of @1oh.
I would like to set the prointacmref parameter to false, upload the teaser image and upload the optionally video.
Would it be possible to do it now, even if the deadline has passed?

@Pako (and anyone who sees this later) - nime2025 (dot) org/camera-ready now lists May 30, AoE as the deadline for the teaser image and associated material, which varies based on presentation slot / format. I would encourage checking the site regularly as these are new developments since I last checked the page

Yep, necessary for registered NIME attendees would get that message, I sent it to everybody’s email used during registration, I will do so again this week. I would add you directly but I don’t know your name from your profile :slight_smile:
