Hello! For those of you working with or interested in play and playful NIMEs please consider joining our workshop - “It’s Play NIME - Mapping Playfulness in NIME” taking place 09:00 - 13:00 Tuesday, 23 June 2026
While “playful" and “playfulness” are frequently referenced in NIME literature to describe interfaces, experiences, and interactions, there is little discussion of how the NIME community experiences play. In the workshop, we will explore playfulness through group ideation sharing work and discussion.
We encourage demos and presentations from NIME attendees to present their work at the start of our session. Please sign up here to present.
