NIME2025: music track remote presentation?

I’ve tried to contact music chairs through CMT in this regard, but so far didn’t get a reply so I’m posting the question here:

Due to lack of funding, I won’t be able to attend the conference in person this year and I’m not sure whether there is a possibility of remote performance in the music track? If so, how would it be conducted? Should it be a realtime live streaming of the performance or is a video sufficient? If the second option is true, does it have to be a new video prepared specifically for the event, or could the originally submitted video be used? Are there any firm deadlines regarding the video upload?

yep, we can do this for you.

The preference is live streaming. Our platform for hosting incoming streams is Restream Studio which works in a browser. We may be able to accomodate a direct stream via RTMP endpoint, but need to test that a bit more.

If you’re in Europe, the timezones should work out as performances will be in the evening AEST.

We’ll have a performance and streaming test schedule soon.
