NIME's role in enhancing creative practice research

I just wanted to highlight a bit of writing by Julian Knowles about “Recognising and Understanding Creative Practice Research in the Modern University” here. This comes from the Australian university context, but I think may be of broader interest as well.

The point I want to amplify is that Knowles calls out NIME as an exemplar for creative practice research where we basically put our scientific and artistic programs on an equal footing and don’t particularly try to label things as “traditional/non-traditional” research outputs.

Let’s keep these dividing barriers low!
