I’m wondering whether a student registration suffices for an author? I know sometimes conferences require that presenting authors have full registration but this isn’t indicated on the NIME site.

This is an old questions, but I’ll answer just in case it is useful in the future:
Generally at NIME, student registration is sufficient to present a paper, poster, demo, piece, installations, or workshop.
