This Thursday, September 14th, I am curating The Evening of The Hands, where we look back at the pioneering work of Michel Waisvisz, whose Hands in the 1980s were one of the first digital musical instruments to be created.
The evening takes place physicall in Rotterdam (NL), but is also streamed live to any place in the world with internet.
During the evening, there will be a screening of Touch Monkeys, performed in 1987, presentations by Andi Otto and myself, and two live performances by Franziska Baumann and Alex Nowitz, who both have developed their own hand-controlled instruments to perform with their voice.
